2019 GeoConvention

2019 GeoConvention

Three Canadian professional societies namely CSEG, CSPG and CWLS together organize the GeoConvention every year in Calgary. GeoConvention 2019 was held in Calgary from May 13 to 15 this year. More than 400 technical both oral and poster presentations were made during the 3 days and close to 90 exhibitors were spread out on the exhibits floor, giving the delegates an opportunity to get apprised about the technology driving the innovation in our industry today.

From our Reservoir Services Group at TGS, Calgary, we had the following talks/posters presented there.

  1. Chopra, S., R. K. Sharma, and James Keay, 2019, Two inversion case studies from the SCOOP and STACK area of Oklahoma. (Oral presentation)
  5. R. K. Sharma, S. Chopra and L. Lines, 2019, Adequate QC steps and their impact on reservoir characterization analysis, presented at 2019 Geoconvention, held at Calgary, in May. (Oral presentation)

After attending and delivering talks/posters, our remaining time was spent at the booth, meeting with our clients and networking with people. It was busy there on all three days.

It was a satisfying experience attending the 2019 GeoConvention in every way, presenting and attending talks, and meeting old and new would-be clients.
